GoPro is an integrated case management solution that helps local and national governments deliver services to citizens and businesses. Gardabaer Municipality has recently upgraded their GoPro Self Service portal. Their Citizen portal now includes the latest additions to the GoPro Self Service portal, such as target groups and announcements for registered users, and automatic PDF conversion of submitted applications. GoPro is a SOA solution that can be integrated with other systems, and recent integration efforts have interconnected the GoPro system with the town''s education system, giving residents online access to their children''s school records and attendance via their personal web portal.
The Self Service portal gives instant overview of each resident''s dealings with their city, and provides 24-hour online access to services. Forms filled out online are automatically routed to the GoPro backend system, which creates a case for the application and all required documents. Information from the backend is then pushed to the portal, as needed, giving registered users access to their information at all times. Each inhabitant can log on and check categories of interest. Using the Self Service, Gardabaer residents can access their personal portal, which contains their information. It can range from information from their children’s playschool or school, to information regarding public works in their neighbourhood, or regarding general organisation, all depending on which interests were defined when they logged on. Information is also available regarding the status of their business with the municipality. For instance, they can see what is owed in playschool fees or property tax.
